Landing pages are used to generate leads, subscriptions, and sales
Landing pages are the the Internet equivalent of direct marketing sales letters, in that the entire conversation and conversion happens right there. Visitors are driven to landing pages by calls-to-action and advertising. This is where you close the deal.
Example 1: 3 Easy Ways to Get Bigger Savings with Trxade
Trxade is an online marketplace where independent pharmacy members can compare drug prices from numerous distributors at one time, saving them time and money. To help members optimize their use of the site, I created a “cheat sheet” in .pdf format for them.
This simple landing page generated a 29.9% conversion rate, and the information members provided about their usage was priceless.
The cheat sheet became so popular, we removed the gate and allowed members to download it directly, without filling out a form.
Example 2: How to Build a Success-Driven Team (retreat registration)
This landing page is a bit different in that the conference registration was on an event management site, so this page needed so sell the deal and earn the click to the registration site. Because the client wanted the agenda on the page, it takes a lot of vertical space. To make sure we didn’t lose them, I added another “REGISTER NOW” button at the bottom of the page.
As with direct mail, it’s important to test landing pages in an effort to find the absolutely best way to generate leads, subscriptions, and sales.
